WW Speedbump

Most of you know I joined Weight Watchers back in March to shed these beautiful new pounds that came with my little princess. Things had been going well, I had been losing every week (except one, but that's was well deserved because I had a great time gaining that week). So, I was trying to be good this past week (except for that Chik-fil-A Cookies and Cream Shake) and according to my scale at home, I had lost 2.2 lbs, so I was so excited to go to weigh-in. This would be my all time WW low and I was stoked. On the way to my meeting I called my husband and told him that I was trying to not be overexcited and would be content if the scale only said I had lost ONE pound. So, I jumped up on the scale with a smile in my head and was plummeted when I saw her write down +.6. What???? How was that possible??? I was so mad I almost skipped the meeting, but then I remembered how much they cost and figured I would stick it out. So, my leader could obviously see that something was wrong and asked me what was on my mind and I told her my disappointment. After turning down a few of her attempts to make me feel better, she finally said, "Well, it's a hot day, maybe you are retaining more fluid today than usual, will you accept that?". I said ok and I stayed for the meeting and was given new courage for the next week! I was still sad as I drove home. I walked in the door, my husband gave me a hug and then I heard the most wonderful noise in the world. Katelyn was fussing because she was waking up from her nap. I ran in there and picked her up and she gave me the biggest smile in the world!! I then was reminded that -2 pounds or +.6 pounds meant absolutely nothing!!

After Bathtime

The first picture I think she is saying, "Nope, not gonna look at you". But the second picture, I finally got her to take her eyes off her Daddy and look at me just for a moment. Look at those baby blues!

The Good Pic!

Oops, forgot to post the non-flash pictures of her in her new dress that Aunt Shelli bought.

6 month stat

Oops, forgot the stats!! 17 lbs (75%) and 26.5" (75%) .

Today's Tickle Fest

Well, Kate was supposed to have her 6 month shots today, so I took off work to be able to be with her since shots usually make her a bit fussy and in need of some TLC. But when the doctor found out she had a fever less than 48 hours ago, she decided it would be better to wait a week. She said that the shots might not be as effective if her immune system was fighting another battle so recently. So, instead of having to console my baby girl, we had a tickle fest :)

And for all you AI fans, go David Cook!!!

William Kalel Pulver

Katelyn's newest cousin has arrived!!

Mother's Day Rewind

OK, so I was catching up on everyone's blogs last night and I realized that I didn't say much about my first Mother's Day. It was a really nice entire weekend. David and I went to the Magic game Saturday night, and my mom came in town, so I was able to see her for Mother's Day weekend. On Sunday, I woke to David handing me my gift and my GIFT!! I had asked him to print out some pictures of the wedding and Katelyn because it seemed like 95% of our pictures were on the computer instead of on paper. I asked him to print some and put them in a photo album in case the computer crashed and we lost everything. But, the BEST gift I have ever gotten was the ever so romantic love letter that he wrote me. I won't go into detail because it is very special and personal to me, but let's just say it was the greatest gift I have ever been given (besides my baby girl). It meant so much to me. Last year I had asked David to write me a letter every year for our anniversary that I would keep in a book, but he either forgot or decided not to, so this was quite a wonderful surprise to get the letter I have been wanting. It really is an amazing letter. I told him I wanted to frame it and put it up on the wall so that I can read it whenever I want. So, if you ever come over, maybe you can sneak a peek :) Then he made me breakfast and treated me like an absolute queen the rest of the day. I told him I wished every day was Mother's Day! (Of course, my co-worker reminded me that every day Katelyn smiles at me (and even when she doesn't) is Mother's Day and a reason to celebrate). So, anyway, you men out there...never underestimate or forget the power of romance!!

Virtual Age - Today I am 13,291 days old.

I took one of those online virtual age tests. Results:

Virtual Age 16.8
Life Expectancy 93.2 (Average Life Expectancy was 74).

It said, "You can expect to live approximately another 20,900 more days."

Katelyn Making Mother's Day Cards

We bought Kate some of those finger paints that only show up on the paper. She seemed to really enjoy playing with it and everyone enjoyed receiving their cards from our little girl :)

New Outfit from Aunt Shelli

Ok, as you can see from the first two pictures, I was trying to take a picture of her in her new outfit, but she kept moving so they are out of focus, so I gave up and finally just took a video!!

Sorry, guys, I didn't realize how much she was drooling until I watched the video afterwards, but I still wasn't about to delete it or deprive you of it :)
