Yummy!
I was eating some ice cream and tried to give Katelyn just a taste but she wanted to grab the entire cone, so I figured I would just put her in the tub and let her have at it. I couldn't decide which pictures to post, so I just put them all in a video.

Great Pictures
My parents came in town this weekend to watch Katelyn while David and I had a fun date at the Disney parks for 12 hours (whew). We'll post some of those pics later, but take a look at the awesome pictures my parents took while spending the day with their granddaughter.

Park
Not a baby anymore?
I guess I need to face up to the fact that Katelyn watches and learns. This is how I found her after giving her the container to play with until I got back to open it for her! I also took some pictures of her at the park yesterday, but I want to crop some of the backgrounds out, so hopefully I can post them tonight or tomorrow.

Sleeping through the night Update
Just wanted to give everyone an update on our first week of "encouraging" Kate to sleep through the night. It was successful every night except Thursday when I heard her crying, really crying, not just the whining. It was 1:30am and I just felt that something was wrong, so I went to check on her and she was indeed soaking wet. So, I changed her diaper, changed her clothes, changed the sheet, fed her and put her back to sleep. I think this week went amazingly well, some nights she even went down as early as 8:30pm. In fact, last night I put her down at 9:30 and she is still sleeping!! Is it ok that I kinda miss her and want her to wake up already !?!

Go Dolphins!!
Trip to the Central Florida Zoo
OK, so I did it, but I didn't like it!
OK, my friend, I took your advice and when she woke up at 2:30 this morning, I just waited it out to see if she could go back to sleep on her own. She screamed and screamed and I just laid there in bed staring up at the ceiling wondering how this could be a good thing to let my baby feel alone and sad. So I waited and waited. David kinda woke up and asked me what was wrong (he probably doesn't remember). I just turned over away from him because I figured if he was really awake, he would hear her cry and know. We dicussed it before going to bed that I was going to try again to wait it out. She cried for 28 minutes. 28 very long, very sad for me (and probably her) minutes, but she did indeed go back to sleep. Then, as crazy as I am, I couldn't go back to sleep because how was I to know she was ok? What if she had passed out from crying or got stuck in the bars? So, I couldn't stand it anymore, and I walked over to her door and tried to peek in (reminder to me to keep the light on a little bit more). I could barely see her, but I think I heard her breathing so I tried to assure myself she was fine. Then she woke up at 5:30am and I couldn't figure out whether I was supposed to let her cry it out again or whether I could go get her. Well, she had been "asleep" since 10, so I figured it was ok. So, I quietly took her out, quietly fed her, and she fell back asleep and so did I. It is now 8:50am and I can hear her kinda squirming and ready to wake, so I guess everything turned out ok for the night. We'll try again in 13 hours :)
