Katelyn and I were looking for something to do today and I remembered that I had bought a $10 kiddie pool a while back, so if I could find some shade, it seemed like the perfect thing to do. Usually I would spend Saturdays cleaning if I was at home, but I'm making myself take a break. Of course, not a perfect break because I did clean the kitchen and am about to put in some laundry since the pool wore Kate out and she's sleeping. But it was fun to just play with her in the pool for about 30 minutes. She loved it. I think she liked it better than a real pool because Mommy didn't have to hold her the entire time. She could just sit by herself and play. Of course at first I forgot the camera, and you can't just leave a 7 month old in a kiddie pool while you run inside, so I grabbed her (soaking wet) and wrapped a towel around her and hurried back in the house, put an actual swimsuit on her for pictures, grabbed the camera, and hurried back outside to make sure I could get some good shots before she got cranky (not that she ever gets cranky or anything). I need to get her some pool toys, she kept trying to grab the designs on the bottom of the pool thinking they were toys.

I can't remember what she was doing in these pictures. Maybe we were trying to make funny noises to get her to smile because it seems like she's either scared or looking at us like we've lost our minds (which probably isn't far from the truth).

I was asked to play the piano for the baptism tonight of an 8 year old boy from my ward. As he came up out of the water, he looked at his father and said, "Dad! Do it Again!". I think I actually laughed out loud!!

Wii Ache Anyone?

Ok, so I thought I made up the term "Wii Ache", but googled it and I'm not the first one to use it. Anyone out there with a Wii Ache? My abs were so sore today that I whined every time someone made me laugh because it hurt so much. Yes, if you don't know what I'm talking about by now, I'm referring to working out with the Wii Fit and loving it so much that you do it perhaps a little too long or a little too hard and you end up sore the next day. In fact, Paula came over tonight so that I could show it to her. Let's see, she arrived around 7:30pm and I just now turned the Wii off. She left around 9 or so and then I did the Wii Fit on and off for the next 3 hours (whenever Katelyn would let me). It is so much fun to work out to a video game!! I keep trying to beat my high scores. I even beat David's soccer high score last night! And Yes, I will announce it because out of the 40 games we have, he has most of the high scores!! If you are considering buying it, don't hesitate!! It's a great workout, especially the Super Hula Hoop and the Free Step!
