Today's Tickle Fest

Well, Kate was supposed to have her 6 month shots today, so I took off work to be able to be with her since shots usually make her a bit fussy and in need of some TLC. But when the doctor found out she had a fever less than 48 hours ago, she decided it would be better to wait a week. She said that the shots might not be as effective if her immune system was fighting another battle so recently. So, instead of having to console my baby girl, we had a tickle fest :)

And for all you AI fans, go David Cook!!!

Katelyn's newest cousin has arrived!!

Mother's Day Rewind

OK, so I was catching up on everyone's blogs last night and I realized that I didn't say much about my first Mother's Day. It was a really nice entire weekend. David and I went to the Magic game Saturday night, and my mom came in town, so I was able to see her for Mother's Day weekend. On Sunday, I woke to David handing me my gift and my GIFT!! I had asked him to print out some pictures of the wedding and Katelyn because it seemed like 95% of our pictures were on the computer instead of on paper. I asked him to print some and put them in a photo album in case the computer crashed and we lost everything. But, the BEST gift I have ever gotten was the ever so romantic love letter that he wrote me. I won't go into detail because it is very special and personal to me, but let's just say it was the greatest gift I have ever been given (besides my baby girl). It meant so much to me. Last year I had asked David to write me a letter every year for our anniversary that I would keep in a book, but he either forgot or decided not to, so this was quite a wonderful surprise to get the letter I have been wanting. It really is an amazing letter. I told him I wanted to frame it and put it up on the wall so that I can read it whenever I want. So, if you ever come over, maybe you can sneak a peek :) Then he made me breakfast and treated me like an absolute queen the rest of the day. I told him I wished every day was Mother's Day! (Of course, my co-worker reminded me that every day Katelyn smiles at me (and even when she doesn't) is Mother's Day and a reason to celebrate). So, anyway, you men out there...never underestimate or forget the power of romance!!

Katelyn Making Mother's Day Cards

We bought Kate some of those finger paints that only show up on the paper. She seemed to really enjoy playing with it and everyone enjoyed receiving their cards from our little girl :)

New Outfit from Aunt Shelli

Ok, as you can see from the first two pictures, I was trying to take a picture of her in her new outfit, but she kept moving so they are out of focus, so I gave up and finally just took a video!!

New Toy from Caryn

Sorry, guys, I didn't realize how much she was drooling until I watched the video afterwards, but I still wasn't about to delete it or deprive you of it :)
