This is how she greets me every morning now! She has been perfecting the art of standing all week!

Go Dolphins!!

Eventhough I'd rather be in Peoria helping my sister... alas, we are watching the Dolphins game and hoping the rest of the game isn't like the first 7 minutes :(

Trip to the Central Florida Zoo

This picture really doesn't tell you how huge these porcupines were. I think I enjoyed the water park portion more than Katelyn did (she needed a nap). In fact, I wanted to run around and run around through all the water spouts, but I wasn't really dressed for it :(

OK, so I did it, but I didn't like it!

OK, my friend, I took your advice and when she woke up at 2:30 this morning, I just waited it out to see if she could go back to sleep on her own. She screamed and screamed and I just laid there in bed staring up at the ceiling wondering how this could be a good thing to let my baby feel alone and sad. So I waited and waited. David kinda woke up and asked me what was wrong (he probably doesn't remember). I just turned over away from him because I figured if he was really awake, he would hear her cry and know. We dicussed it before going to bed that I was going to try again to wait it out. She cried for 28 minutes. 28 very long, very sad for me (and probably her) minutes, but she did indeed go back to sleep. Then, as crazy as I am, I couldn't go back to sleep because how was I to know she was ok? What if she had passed out from crying or got stuck in the bars? So, I couldn't stand it anymore, and I walked over to her door and tried to peek in (reminder to me to keep the light on a little bit more). I could barely see her, but I think I heard her breathing so I tried to assure myself she was fine. Then she woke up at 5:30am and I couldn't figure out whether I was supposed to let her cry it out again or whether I could go get her. Well, she had been "asleep" since 10, so I figured it was ok. So, I quietly took her out, quietly fed her, and she fell back asleep and so did I. It is now 8:50am and I can hear her kinda squirming and ready to wake, so I guess everything turned out ok for the night. We'll try again in 13 hours :)
