Anyone have any good suggestions on what to do with the leftover pumpkin? Any recipes? I liked the sound of these, so we'll see how it goes.

Happy Election Day!!
Halloween - lessons learned
My co-worker and I dressed up as a husband/wife team. Can you guess who we are? (I will explain more about it after you guys guess, it's a pretty funny story about how ignorant I can be sometimes).
Out of the 150 people in my office, only 6 of us dressed up, so we were pretty disappointed. The other sad thing is that we got 3rd place.... out of 3 (The "Old Ladies" got first, the "Corpse Bride" was second, and we were 3rd). That's ok though because we got a gift certificate to a local restaurant for it.

My new favorite Church song
Not sure how many of you have heard the Primary Presentation this year, but one of the songs they sang is my new favorite song. Here are the lyrics and a tiny video of Katelyn practicing her piano.
If the Savior stood beside me, would I do the things I do?
Would I think of His commandments and try harder to be true?
Would I follow His example? Would I live more righteously,
If I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me?
If the Savior stood beside me, would I say the things I say?
Would my words be true and kind if He were never far away?
Would I try to share the gospel? Would I speak more reverently
If I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me?
If the Savior stood beside me, would my thoughts be clean and pure?
Would His presence give me strength and hope, and courage to endure?
Would His counsel guide my actions? Would I choose more worthily
If I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me?
He is always near me, though I do not see Him there
And because He loves me dearly, I am in His watchful care
So I'll be the kind of person that I know I'd like to be
If I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me.
Here is a link to find the mp3 because the music enhances the lyrics:
And here's a picture of her how she looked for Church today. We actually got shoes on her, but she had them off before we even got to the car. I put them back on again, but they were off again in minutes... Oh well, we try.

More details....
OK, so I was asked to give more details about the weekend. We had a great time when we went to Marco Island this weekend just the two of us. It was hard being away from Kate, but my parents kept me surviving by posting pictures and videos. Here are some of the things we did and they are not in time order, just the order I could remember… We built a sandcastle, played in the pool, played in the ocean, relaxed in the sun, relaxed in the shade, watched tv, took pictures, walked around downtown Naples, had a virgin strawberry daiquiri while relaxing by the pool, ate at the hotel restaurant with piano music in the background, ate way too much (including churros for dessert) at an “Authentic” Mexican restaurant, sipped Martinelli’s sparkling apple while chowing down on carrot cake (this was our dinner since we ate too much Mexican), had the most fantastic breakfast at “Breakfast Plus” – I had the waffle topped with pecans, brown sugar and bananas and David had the biscuits and gravy, played scrabble, watched the sun set, listened to the waves crashing, bought Katelyn an outfit that says, “When God made me, He was showing off”, bought me some new sunglasses, bought beach towels for both of us, then on Sunday came home and had a wonderful Sunday afternoon nap and then played with Katelyn until she went to bed early at 7:30pm and slept through the night!!! God is good.

1. What is his name? David
2. Who eats more? One guess.
3. Who said "I love you" first? He did, right after he proposed.
4. Who is taller? These questions are too easy.
5. Who is smarter? Let's just say sometimes my sister calls me an idiot savant.
6. Who is more sensitive? No question there... just make sure the tissues are on my side of the bed.
7. Who does the laundry? He washes and dries, I fluff and fold.
8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me.
9. Who pays the bills? Me.
10. Who cooks more? Him... I rarely cook at all.
11. What meals do you cook together? Do cookies count?
12. Who is more stubborn? He is, no I am, no he is.
13. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? When have either of us been wrong?
14. Who has more siblings? Him.
15. Who wears the pants in the relationship? Him, definitely, which is just the way I want it. I hated those relationships where guys just let you walk all over them. Wimpy wimpy wimpy!
16. What do you like to do together? Magic games, watch House, Sea World, Disney World, eating breakfast for dinner, playing with Katelyn, playing scrabble and Scene It.
17. Who eats more sweets? Tough call, maybe a tie?
18. Guilty pleasures? For me - reality TV.
19. How did you meet? Volleyball.
20. Who asked out who first? Does bribing him to teach my SS class with a dinner count?
21. Who kissed who first? He teased me for weeks and got really close.... then one time he got close again, probably expecting me to pull away, but I grabbed him!
22. Who proposed? Him, but I'm the one that said yes.
23. His best features? How much reading time do you have??? I guess my favorite things are the little things he does that show me that he loves me soooooooooooo much and is still "in love" with me after all these years.
24. What is his greatest quality? I thought I just answered that. Well, then, I guess his best features are his height (when you are tall it limits who you can date), his hair, his eyes, his legs, his face, should I go on?
I tag anyone who wants to!
