Happy St. Valentine's Day!

Here are the beautiful roses that David brought home! He also cooked me a wonderful grilled salmon dinner with asparagus, rice and the tastiest bread ever! He remembered that I had mentioned that I liked this beautiful diamond heart pendant and necklace, so that was one of my presents!!

And of course.... here is our BEST Valentine's present!!

The Rest of the Story

Pros and Cons of Returning to Work (I can laugh at this now, but it wasn't funny yesterday):

Pros:
1. Able to listen to music again to and from work (I missed hearing the radio).
2. Having your sweetheart bring your daughter to work for your lunch hour so that you can get through the rest of the day.
3. Having a wonderful boss that lets you go home early since he knows you had a hard day.

Cons:
1. Crying the night before while saying family prayer and asking God to help me through it.
2. Crying on the way to work because someone cut me off and I took it personally.
3. Crying while at work everytime someone used the words "Welcome Back".
4. Being gone from work so long that they changed the combo to get in the door and you don't know what it is so you have to knock like a salesman.
5. Having the first seven minutes that you already read about below.

So, then when I got home from work, I was going to go to a meeting, and then I was going to go to the grocery store, and then I was going to go for a walk, but then I just decided I wanted to sit on the couch with Katelyn and just hang out for the evening. She thought that was cool!

7 minutes!

Ok, I just had to post really quickly to tell you how my first seven minutes back at work have been. My mouse and keyboard cords were in front of my desk because when I was pregnant I couldn't reach them otherwise. So, this morning I unplugged them and went to feed them behind my desk forgetting that they had set up a glue mouse trap before I left. So, both cords got stuck in the glue!!! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. So I had to pry them out and try to get all the glue off of them before I plugged them back in, thus, of course, getting mouse glue trap glue all over my fingers. Then when trying to put them back again, I knocked over my 8 oz glass of cold water all over my mouse, keyboard and monitors. My keyboard was literally dripping water out of it when I picked it up. And that was just my first seven minutes at work. More later.

11 Weeks Today!!

Well, Katelyn graduated from the cradle and spent her first night last night in her new big girl crib. I shouldn't say "spent the night" because she was up every hour. Not sure if it was because of her new bed or new room or just a fluke (hopefully I didn't give her my new cold... that would be two already in her short life). She looked so big in her cradle, and now she's back to looking tiny again :)

Guess I'll just chew on my fingers until Mommy feeds me!!
